Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

1. Wailul lil mutaffifeen
2. Allazeena izak taaloo ‘alan naasi yastawfoon
3. Wa izaa kaaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroon
4. Alaa yazunnu ulaaa’ika annahum mab’oosoon
5. Li Yawmin ‘Azeem
6. Yawma yaqoomun naasu li Rabbil ‘aalameen
7. Kallaaa inna kitaabal fujjaari lafee Sijjeen
8. Wa maa adraaka maa Sijjeen
9. Kitaabum marqoom
10. Wailuny yawma’izil lil mukazzibeen
11. Allazeena yukazziboona bi yawmid deen
12. Wa maa yukazzibu biheee illaa kullu mu’tadin aseem
13. Izaa tutlaa’alaihi aayaatunaa qaala asaateerul awwaleen
14. Kallaa bal raana ‘alaa quloobihim maa kaanoo yaksiboon
15. Kallaaa innahum ‘ar Rabbihim yawma’izil lamah jooboon
16. Summa innahum lasaa lul jaheem
17. Summa yuqaalu haazal lazee kuntum bihee tukazziboon
18. Kallaaa inna kitaabal abraari lafee’Illiyyeen
19. Wa maaa adraaka maa ‘Illiyyoon
20. Kitaabum marqoom
21. Yashhadu hul muqarra boon
22. Innal abraara lafee Na’eem
23. ‘Alal araaa’iki yanzuroon
24. Ta’rifu fee wujoohihim nadratan na’eem
25. Yusqawna mir raheeqim makhtoom
26. Khitaamuhoo misk; wa fee zaalika falyatanaafasil Mutanaafisoon
27. Wa mizaajuhoo min Tasneem
28. ‘Ainaiy yashrabu bihal muqarraboon
29. Innal lazeena ajramoo kaanoo minal lazeena aamanoo yadhakoon
30. Wa izaa marroo bihim yataghaamazoon
31. Wa izan qalabooo ilaaa ahlihimun qalaboo fakiheen
32. Wa izaa ra awhum qaalooo inna haaa’ulaaa’i ladaaal loon
33. Wa maaa ursiloo ‘alaihim haafizeen
34. Fal yawmal lazeena aamanoo minal kuffaari yadhakoon
35. ‘Alal araaa’iki yanzuroon
36. Hal suwwibal kuffaaru maa kaanoo yaf’aloon

Translation

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

1. Woe to the curtailers
2. who, when they measure something to receive from people, take it in full,
3. and when they measure or weigh something to give it to them, give less than due.
4. Do they not think that they have to be raised up
5. on a Great Day,
6. the Day when all the people will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
7. Never! (i.e. they should never act in such a way.) Indeed the record of deeds of the sinners is in Sijjin .
8. And what may let you know what Sijjin is?
9. A register, inscribed!
10. Woe that day to the deniers,
11. who deny the Day of Requital!
12. And none denies it but every sinful transgressor.
13. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, :(These are) tales of the ancients.
14. No! But that which they used to commit has covered their hearts with rust.
15. No! Indeed they will be screened off from their Lord on that Day.
16. Then they will have to enter the Hell.
17. Then it will be said, :This is what you used to deny.
18. No! The record of deeds of the righteous is in ‘Illiyyun .
19. And what may let you know what ‘Illiyyun is ?
20. A register inscribed,
21. attended by those (angels) who are blessed with nearness to Allah!
22. Indeed the righteous will be in absolute bliss.
23. While (sitting) on thrones they will be watching (the scenes of Paradise) .
24. You will recognize the glamour of bliss on their faces.
25. They will be served with a pure sealed wine to drink,
26. the seal of which will be of musk.___It is this (bliss) in aspiring for which the competitors should race each other.
27. __and it will be blended with (a drink from) Tasnim ,
28. a spring from which will drink those who are blessed with nearness.
29. Indeed those who were guilty used to laugh at those who believed,
30. and when they passed by them, they used to wink at one another,
31. and when they went back to their family, they went enjoying their mockery,
32. and when they saw them, they said, :Surely these are the ones who have gone astray
33. while they were not sent as watchmen over them.
34. So, today those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers.
35. While (sitting) on thrones, they will be seeing
36. whether the disbelievers have been paid back for what they used to do.
