Honorable chief guest of today’s program, respected teachers and friends!
Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa barakatuhu
Today we are celebrating our 75th republic day. This day is a historic day celebrated every year as Republic Day across the country. It is a national day for us Indians. Around 75 years ago, on fifteenth August 1947, our country India became free from the clutches of British colonialism. The Britishers left this country; But since there was no constitution for India yet; Therefore, even after independence, the country’s system continued to function in accordance with the British constitution.
But soon our great national leaders at that time formed a Legislative Committee under the leadership of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar through mutual consultation and wrote a comprehensive and the largest constitution on the planet which on the twenty-sixth of January in the year 1950 came into force. In the commemoration of it we celebrate republic day every year.
Dear friends! This country of ours is the cradle of different religions and diverse nations. All kind of people live in it and followers of every religion are present here, so the Constitution of India safeguards the right of all religions and all nations.
The first article of the constitution explains that India is a secular and democratic country, which means, there is no official religion in India, rather, there is complete freedom for the followers of every religion in this country, so that every resident can live freely following his religion.
Dear brothers! The first clause of the Indian Constitution is in fact the identity of our country and the country will progress and an atmosphere of peace and tranquility within the country will be maintained by following it.
Today let’s take a pledge to abide by the laws of our constitution and protect it from evil intenders.
With this I conclude my speech. May you all be safe, healthy and happy.
وآخر دعوانا أن الحمد لله رب العالمين
