سورة العلق
﷽
اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ﴿1﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ﴿2﴾ اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ ﴿3﴾ الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ ﴿4﴾ عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ﴿5﴾ كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ ﴿6﴾ أَنْ رَآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ ﴿7﴾ إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَىٰ ﴿8﴾ أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَىٰ ﴿9﴾ عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰ ﴿10﴾ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ ﴿11﴾ أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَىٰ ﴿12﴾ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿13﴾ أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَىٰ ﴿14﴾ كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَمْ يَنْتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ ﴿15﴾ نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ﴿16﴾ فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ ﴿17﴾ سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ﴿18﴾ كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ ۩ ﴿19﴾
Transliteration
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
- Iqra bismi rab bikal lazee khalaq
- Khalaqal insaana min ‘alaq
- Iqra wa rab bukal akram
- Al lazee ‘allama bil qalam
- ‘Al lamal insaana ma lam y’alam
- Kallaa innal insaana layatghaa
- Ar-ra aahus taghnaa
- Innna ilaa rabbikar ruj’aa
- Ara-aital lazee yanhaa
- ‘Abdan iza sallaa
- Ara-aita in kana ‘alal hudaa
- Au amara bit taqwaa
- Ara-aita in kaz zaba wa ta walla
- Alam y’alam bi-an nal lahaa yaraa
- Kalla la illam yantahi la nasfa’am bin nasiyah
- Nasiyatin kazi batin khaatiah
- Fal yad’u naadiyah
- Sanad ‘uz zabaaniyah
- Kalla; la tuti’hu wasjud waqtarib (make sajda)
Translation
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
- Read with the name of your Lord who created (every thing) ,
- He created man from a clot of blood.
- Read, and your Lord is the most gracious,
- who imparted knowledge by means of the pen.
- He taught man what he did not know.
- In fact, man crosses the limits,
- because he deems himself to be free of need.
- Surely to your Lord is the return.
- Have you seen him who forbids
- a servant of Allah when he prays?
- Tell me, if he is on the right path,
- or bids piety, (would the former still forbid him?)
- Tell me, if he rejects (the true faith) and turns away,
- does he not know that Allah is watching (him) ?
- No! If he does not desist, We will certainly drag (him) by forelock,
- a lying, sinful forelock.
- So let him call the men of his council,
- We will call the soldiers of the Hell.
- No! Never obey him, and bow down in sajdah, and come close to Me.
