Importance Of Asr Prayer

Allah Tala said in holy Quran:

{حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ } [البقرة: 238]

{hafizuu ealaa alssalawat walssalat alwustaa waqumuu lillah qanitin } [Albaqarah: 238]

Translation: Perform and keep the all prayers, especially middle prayer.

In this verse middle prayer mean Asr prayer, because this time such very rush, that every man would be busy in work at this time, So it is possible that the prayer is missed, so that time Allah ordered us we never miss this prayer in rush time too, because our target is after death life, not world life, so we will return to allah, and he will ask us for every time and every work we have spend in this life, so it is very important we never miss Asr prayer.

Asr Starting And Ending Time:

After ending time of the Zuhr prayer begins time of Asr prayer, it is third prayer of the day, when the sun is nearing and shadow of everything becomes double start Asr time, and end Immediately after sunset.

How Many Rakats In Asr Prayer?

Asr prayer has total 8 rakats: 4 rakat Sunnah, and 4 rakat fard, and this sunnah called: Sunnah ghair Muakkadh, it mean you can leave it if you have no time of perform this.

How To Perform Asr Prayer?

First perform 4 rakat Sunnat, in the every rakat of the sunnah, read Surah after Alhamdu.

After that perform 4 rakat fard, in two first rakat read surah after Alhamdu, and in two ending rakat read only Alhamdu.

Which Surah we read in Asr prayer:

Read any surah between surah Burooj and Surah Bayyinah, and we call them: Ausaat e Mufassal, it is the way of The Messenger of Allah Muhammad, (may God bless him and grant him peace) anyway you can read which surah you are remember.
