The virtues of Surat Al-Rahman

Here is the spiritual virtue of Surat Al-Rahman for the people of the house, as well as more than one benefit for reading the Surah and wonders for relieving one’s need.

Many benefits raise the question of many, as Surat Al-Rahman is considered one of the best Surahs of the Qur’an.

(Indeed, the Messenger of allah, صلى الله عليه وسلم, recited Surat al-Rahman to his companions, but they remained silent, and he said, “Why should I hear the jinn better respond to their Lord than you?”

The spiritual virtues of Surah Ar-Rahman

Whoever recites Surah Ar-Rahman on his night, God Almighty has entrusted him with two angels to memorize him until morning, and whoever recites it in the morning, God Almighty has entrusted him with two angels who will memorize him until evening.
The merit of Surat Al-Rahman It has been narrated on the authority of the Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم, that he said: Whoever recites Surah Al-Rahman and then says after the Almighty’s saying: “Which of the blessings of your Lord do you deny?” (Al-Rahman 13), and then died on that day, he died a martyr.
It was reported on the authority of the Messenger of allah صلى الله عليه وسلم: “Do not neglect reading Surah Ar-Rahman and performing it, for it does not settle in the hearts of the hypocrites, and its Lord will bring it on the Day of Resurrection in the form of a human being, in the best form and the most pleasant wind, until you stand before God in a position that no one is closer to. To God from her, so he says to her: Who used to support you in this world’s life, and was addicted to your reading? She says: O Lord, so and so. Then their faces turn white, and he says to them: Intercede for those you love. They will intercede, until there is no end for them and no one to intercede for him, and he will say to them: Enter Paradise, and dwell therein wherever you wish.”
Among the merits of Surat Al-Rahman is that it was reported on the authority of the Messenger of allah, صلى الله عليه وسلم, that he said about the virtue of Surah Al-Rahman: “He who wrote it and commented on it was safe and afflicted by every difficult matter. On the vermin it is removed from him, and if I write all of them on the wall of the house, the vermin is prevented from it, by the permission of God Almighty.”
One of the characteristics of Surat Al-Rahman is that it began with one of the names of God, the Mighty and Sublime.

الرَّحْمَٰنُ ﴿1﴾ عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿2﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ ﴿3﴾ عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ ﴿4﴾ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ ﴿5﴾ وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ﴿6﴾ وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ ﴿7﴾ أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ ﴿8﴾ وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ ﴿9﴾ وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ﴿10﴾ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ ﴿11﴾ وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ ﴿12﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿13﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ ﴿14﴾ وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ ﴿15﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿16﴾ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ﴿17﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿18﴾ مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ﴿19﴾ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ ﴿20﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿21﴾ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ ﴿22﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿23﴾ وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ ﴿24﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿25﴾ كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ﴿26﴾ وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ ﴿27﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿28﴾ يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ ﴿29﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿30﴾ سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ ﴿31﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿32﴾ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ ﴿33﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿34﴾ يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ ﴿35﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿36﴾ فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ ﴿37﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿38﴾ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ ﴿39﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿40﴾ يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ ﴿41﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿42﴾ هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿43﴾ يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ ﴿44﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿45﴾ وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ ﴿46﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿47﴾ ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ ﴿48﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿49﴾ فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ﴿50﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿51﴾ فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ ﴿52﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿53﴾ مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ ﴿54﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿55﴾ فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ ﴿56﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿57﴾ كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ ﴿58﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿59﴾ هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ ﴿60﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿61﴾ وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ﴿62﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿63﴾ مُدْهَامَّتَانِ ﴿64﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿65﴾ فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ﴿66﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿67﴾ فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ ﴿68﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿69﴾ فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ﴿70﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿71﴾ حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ ﴿72﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿73﴾ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ ﴿74﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿75﴾ مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ ﴿76﴾ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿77﴾ تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ ﴿78﴾

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Ar Rahmaan
‘Allamal Quran
Khalaqal insaan
‘Allamahul bayaan
Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan
Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan
Wassamaaa’a rafa’ahaa wa wada’al Meezan
Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan
Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan
Wal arda wada’ahaa lilanaam
Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam
Walhabbu zul ‘asfi war Raihaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaar
Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayn
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaan
Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan

Yakhruju minhumal lu ‘lu u wal marjaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha’aatu fil bahri kal a’laam

Kullu man ‘alaihaa faan
Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Yas’aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla yawmin huwa fee shaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Yaa ma’sharal jinni wal insi inis tata’tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Yursalu ‘alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarinw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa’u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Fa-yawma’izil laa yus’alu ‘an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Yu’raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa’yu’khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon
Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Zawaataaa afnaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehimaa ‘aynaani tajriyaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Muttaki’eena ‘alaa furushim bataaa’inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Hal jazaaa’ul ihsaani illal ihsaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Wa min doonihimaa jannataan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Mudhaaammataan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehimaa ‘aynaani nad daakhataan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Feehinna khairaatun hisaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Muttaki’eena ‘alaa rafrafin khudrinw wa ‘abqariyyin hisaan
Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam

Translation

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The RaHman (The All-Merciful Allah)
has taught the Qur‘an.
He has created man.
He has taught him (how) to express himself.
The sun and the moon are (bound) by a (fixed) calculation.
And the vine and the tree both prostrate (to Allah).
He raised the sky high, and has placed the scale,
so that you should not be wrongful in weighing.
Observe the correct weight with fairness, and do not make weighing deficient.
As for the earth, He has placed it for creatures,
in which there are fruits and date palms having sheaths,
and the grain having chaff, and fragrant flowers.
So, ( O mankind and Jinn,) which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
He has created man from dry clay, ringing like pottery,
and created Jann (father of the Jinn) from a smokeless flame of fire.
So, ( O mankind and Jinn,) which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
He is the Lord of both points of sunrise and both points of sunset.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
He let forth the two seas to meet together,
while there is a barrier between them; they do not encroach (upon one another).
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
From both of them come forth the pearl and the coral.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
And His are the sailing ships raised up in the sea like mountains.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
Every one who is on it (the earth) has to perish.
And your Lord‘s Countenance will remain, full of majesty, full of honour.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
All those in the heavens and the earth beseech Him (for their needs.) Every day He is in a state of action.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
Soon We are going to spare Ourselves for you (to reckon your deeds), O two heavy species (of Jinn and mankind) !
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
O genera of Jinn and mankind, If you are able to penetrate beyond the realms of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate. You cannot penetrate without power.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
A flame of fire and a smoke will be loosed against you, and you will not (be able) to defend.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
So, (it will be a terrible event) when the sky will be split apart and will become rosy, like (red) hides.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
On that day, neither a man will be questioned about his sin, nor a Jinn.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
The guilty ones will be recognized (by angels) through their marks and will be seized by foreheads and feet.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
This is Jahannam (Hell) that the guilty people deny.
They will circle around between it and between hot, boiling water.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
And for the one who is fearful of having to stand before his Lord, there are two gardens, __
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
__ both having branches.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In both there are two flowing springs.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In both there are two kinds of every fruit.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
(The people of these gardens will be) reclining on floorings whose (even) linings will be of thick silk, and the fruits plucked from the two gardens will be at hand.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In them there will be maidens restraining (their) glances, whom neither a man might have touched before them, nor a Jinn.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
They will look like rubies and corals.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
Is there any reward for goodness other than goodness?
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
And besides these two, there are two other gardens (for the second category of the God-fearing),__
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
__ both (gardens are) dark green!
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In both there are two springs gushing forth profusely.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In both there are fruits and date-palms and pomegranates.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
In them there will be women, good and gorgeous,__
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
__ the houris, kept guarded in pavilions__
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
__ whom neither a man might have touched before them, nor a Jinn.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
(The people of these gardens will be) reclining on green cushions and marvelously beautiful mattresses.
So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
Glorious is the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty, the Lord of Honour.
